Editorial Policy
Editorial policy of Cyprus Legal Compass covering accuracy, sourcing, independence, corrections, and the separation of information from legal advice.
Cyprus Legal Compass follows a clear editorial policy to keep its legal guides accurate, independent, and useful for international readers.
Purpose and scope. The site explains selected areas of Cyprus law: company law, immigration and residency, and real estate. Articles are general information only. They are not legal advice and do not create an attorney client relationship. Readers should obtain advice from a qualified Cyprus lawyer for their specific circumstances.
Accuracy and sourcing. We base articles on publicly available laws, regulations, official forms, and government guidance. We identify sources where possible and avoid unverifiable claims. We do not invent staff, clients, case results, statistics, addresses, phone numbers, or first hand tests. When a requirement may change, we state that readers should confirm it with the competent authority.
Independence. Editorial content is independent of any advertising or sponsorship. We do not accept payment to influence the substance of an article. Any commercial relationship, if present, is disclosed clearly and does not affect editorial judgment. We do not recommend or rank specific law firms or service providers.
Corrections. We correct factual errors promptly. The contact page explains how to submit a correction request with the article title, URL, the disputed text, and supporting evidence. If a correction is confirmed, we update the article and add a correction note. If a request cannot be verified, we explain why.
Images and media. Images on the site are illustrative and may be AI generated. They do not depict real people, offices, or documents unless explicitly stated. They are used for visual context only.
Updates. We review content periodically and update it when laws or official guidance change. The absence of a recent update date does not mean the content is current. Always check official sources before acting.
